Commonly referred to as ‘laughing gas,’ this form of anaesthesia leaves the patient in a relaxed state. The gas is administered by placing a mask over the patient’s mouth and nose. It usually takes effect in anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes and may make you giggle.
